Vietnam War - Everywhere in the US demonstrations against the aggressive American warfare. Also at Kent State University in Ohio, Nixon's speech on the background of the invasion triggers violent unrest that will cause some destruction in the small town. Not all the students are involved in the upheavals. Nevertheless, the National Guard is called in, consisting mainly of inexperienced soldiers. At first, the demonstration is peaceful, but as a helicopter surprisingly fires tear gas the situation gets out of control. 
In the chaos, four young students lose their lives. This film interprets the tragic events of the fourth of May 1970.
