His rise from Texas Congressman to Washington Senator astonished many, but Lyndon's fierce desire for supremacy could not be stopped, whatever the cost. Washington, a city of temptations, threatened to destroy him forever. But as he reached ever higher, the prize was snatched away by the one man he underestimated, John F. Kennedy. As the rivalry between Johnson and the Kennedy’s develops into open conflict, Lyndon is forced to accept that his political career is ending.
But when fate suddenly hands Lyndon the Presidency of the United States, he knows that as long as he remains in office the ghost of JFK will forever stand beside him.
