It’s both a tale of a couple’s survival after a sordid affair and of the mystery surrounding the brutal murder of an innocent woman that consumes two small American towns. Before Jenny Moran left her husband, she was a dutiful wife, a dedicated mother and churchgoer. But trouble at home and a general restlessness led Jenny to seek comfort in the arms of another man, Dr Stephen Carrow, an esteemed physician and revered elder in the church where she worked.
What started as a whirlwind affair suddenly turned dark when Dr. Carrow's wife was found murdered her own bedroom. Rumors spread like wildfire and Jenny found herself completely ostracized by her church, her family tortured by gossip, and her husband the prime suspect for the murder.
