This electrifying, suspenseful thriller based upon a shocking true story stars Cynthia Gibb (Salvador, Gypsy, Stardust Memories) as Alexandra O’Hara, an attractive, struggling single mother whose quiet life takes an unexpected turn when she falls in love with the charming but mysterious Nick Pagan (John Stamos, Born to Ride). Eager to find a new father for her young son Ryan, Alex marries Nick, even after learning of his work as an undercover cop. Then she makes the horrifying discovery that Nick has been implicated in a series of unsolved serial murders. When she tries to leave, Nick flies into a wild rage, injuring Ryan. Demanding that Alex quit her job despite her dwindling savings, Nick threatens even greater violence if she ever tries to leave again. Complicating an already deadly situation are Nick’s pathologically driven father Ben Gazzara, and Nick’s admiring nephew David Faustino (The Star Chamber), who hides a secret about Nick’s past and whose girlfriend is in danger of becoming the killer’s next victim. With time running out, Alex begins a desperate, life or death fight for survival as her perfect family becomes a perfect nightmare.
