The plot thickens deliciously as Mortimer Brewster (Grant) discovers his elderly aunts' secret via a body in the window seat. But before he can get his bizarre brother Teddy (as in "Roosevelt") committed for the act, long-lost brother Jonathan (Raymond Massey in a delightfully diabolical portrayal) shows up with a body of his own.
Director Frank Capra, the master of comic timing keeps the action and hilarity moving at a head spinning pace. With a strong supporting cast that features Edward Everett Horton and Peter Lorre as a wonderfuly demented plastic surgeon, Arsenic and Old Lace is perhaps the most renowned black farce of all time.
