DEAD MAN OUT was filmed in a working maximum-security prison. It follows the mounting tension as two men pit their wits against each other in a gripping psychological game for the highest stakes of all a man’s life. Ben, known as The Diner Slayer is awaiting execution for the murder of four people. But eight years of trials and appeals and stays of execution have taken their toll, and now Ben is, or claims to be, insane. lf this is true, he cannot be legally executed. Now the state has called in Alex, a psychiatrist. Can Alex make Ben well knowing that to do so is to send him to his death? The fragile but growing relationship between the two men forces Alex to confront his own feelings on the death sentence, and on his ambiguous role in Ben’s life. Ultimately the tension breaks in a shocking but inevitable climax. The film stars actor and singer RUBEN BLADES ( seen in The Milagro Beanfield War) as Ben and DANNY GLOVER ( film Lethal Weapon) as Alex.
