The human drama surrounding the fatal crash of an Air Florida flight in January 1982, and the individual heroism involved in the dramatic rescue of the survivors from Washington D.C.’s icy Potomac River are powerfully recreated in this true story of a plane which took off in a blizzard, only to shudder, stall and ultimately fall from the sky striking a bridge and shearing the tops off several cars, before plunging into the freezing waters as it broke apart.
