A TRUE STORY.
In 1949, during the Chinese Civil War, British warship H.M.S. Amethyst sails up the Yangtse river carrying supplies to the British embassy. But on the return trip finds it's way blocked by a barrage fire from the Communist Chinese shore batteries. This is the remarkable true story of how the ship escaped and returned to the fleet in open water.
This is a classic Black and White movie, that has been colorized.
